Debutante (2009)
Debutante was the first album of Musical O and was released in 2009. It was mostly created in the room of Mario. It was released under Terno Recordings on November 29, 2009.
Usually weeknights after recording all the drum tracks, Mario, Marco and Chino storm in Mario’s room to lay the tracks down, one song a night. They would finish the night off with a round of Battlefield 1942 as they race daylight doing their LAN party sessions.
The arrangement of the songs in the album is arranged chronologically. Ocean was created during their early years in high school and Alive was written in the studio while recording the album.
Hey Sandy! is a cover, which was the theme song for the 90s Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete and Pete.
Liger had that title because Chino, Miggy, and Mario thought Marco was singing “Liger” during one part of the song, where in fact he was actually saying “And I Like It”.
All tracks were written, recorded, and produced by Musical O. All drum tracks recorded at Boomtown Studio except for the drum tracks of Ocean - recorded at Love One Another Studio.
Fun fact: The talking you can hear at the end of WGDTB was from a video taken by Chino while they were in Boomtown Studios. It was their last day of recording, hence you can hear “It’s a wrap”.
